Update 9 June 2026

Improved journalist and publication imports

You can now include a publication website and a note for each journalist when importing contacts into your PR CRM. It also includes improved de-duplication.

Import existing media lists

What it means for customers

You can now include a publication website and a note for each journalist when importing contacts into your media lists. The publication website field allows the platform to automatically consolidate duplicate publication entries that share the same domain, keeping your data clean without manual tidying.

Why we built it

We added the publication website field so the platform can match and merge publications that appear under different names but point to the same domain, and pull in domain authority data accurately. The note field was added to bring list-level context into the outreach workflow - so that anything you know about a journalist is available at the moment you sit down to write.

Use cases

  • A team uploads a journalist list with publication websites included, and the platform automatically consolidates entries where the same outlet had been recorded under slightly different names.
  • A PR team adds brief notes about each journalist during import - covering beat focus or previous coverage - and those notes appear in the journalist briefing panel when composing outreach.
  • An in-house team maintains multiple lists with different context per journalist, and the relevant note surfaces automatically depending on which list they are working from.
  • A user importing a large media list includes domain URLs to ensure domain authority data is populated correctly across all publication entries.

Why it matters

Keeping journalist and publication data accurate is foundational to effective outreach. These two fields reduce duplicated records and make sure the context you have gathered about a journalist is visible exactly when you need it - at the point of writing - rather than buried in a spreadsheet elsewhere.
